The Camping and Caravanning Club Boating Group is a special interest section of the Camping and Caravanning Club and offers a programme of weekend and holiday meets providing a base for inexpensive, simple family camping or caravanning near suitable water.
If you belong to our parent Club, membership of the group is open to you at an additional annual fee of only £ 6.00. Membership is inclusive of your children (under 18 years) and one named adult in your household (usually your spouse or partner).
The Camping and Caravanning Club encourages the observance of codes of good camping and provides a full range of services for all types of camping and touring caravanning. This includes a comprehensive sites list and map, a foreign touring service, special insurance facilities and many other advantages.
You will find members of the Boating Group, out and about, camping and boating with our families, across mainland Britain throughout the summer.
We welcome wherever possible, all types of craft, including sailboards and small dinghy's powered by outboards. However we have to respect any restrictions sometimes imposed by our hosts.
Between our six hundred or so members, we share a good deal of sailing expertise and a willingness to help others in difficulty. Our group is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association and actively encourages training and good standards of water safety. We maintain lists of venues where training is offered, some of which are near venues we use for our meets during the year.

Our free newsletter, "The Buccaneer" provides information about future meets, reports of earlier ones, articles of general interest on boating topics, details of craft and so on.
There is a social side to our activities too. Shore activities are frequently organised for those "left at home" when the skipper and crew sail away. You need never be alone on a Boating Group Meet but on the other hand, you need never feel obliged to join in organised activities if you just want a quiet hour or two.
